My First Graders Need an Easel!!

My students need an easel that is VERY much needed for teaching and learning for both whole group and small group instruction.

My Students

Please help my First Graders acquire a very much needed easel for our classroom!! This easel and teaching cart will be the perfect visual aid that my students need for both whole group and small group instruction.

I have 26 energetic First Graders.

We are in an inner city public elementary school in Rhode Island. My students love to learn and have a craving for knowledge!! There are many of my students every year who need small group instruction in all academic areas to help them build up their skills and to help them be successful learners. This teaching cart/easel is the perfect visual aid that can help them!! All my students can use the whiteboard to write on and they can use it to put magnetic letters on to help them spell out new words. The cart also has an area to hang a pocket chart for them to use as a center activity. There are eight buckets that will easily organize the materials that are needed for the whole group and small group instruction. The easel/cart can also hold big books which my students love to read!! They like to pretend that they are the teacher reading the book with a pointer!! So please help my First Grade students!!

My Project

This teaching cart/easel will benefit ALL my students this year and for many years to come!! It is the perfect visual aid that is much needed in our classroom. This cart/easel will help my students gain more practice in writing while they use the whiteboard. The board is magnetic so it will be great for my students to manipulate magnetic letters to make words and build sentences. You can hang a pocket chart on the back of it to use during center time or for whole and small group instruction. There are eight buckets that are perfect for storing center materials or group materials that will make it easy for my students to get to. The cart/easel can display big books or posters used to teach concepts and it is on wheels so it can be moved around the room for easy access. My students will gain much needed practice in all academic areas with this cart/easel. It will be easy for them to use and all the materials will be organized on the cart so no time is wasted looking for materials.

This cart/easel provides space to have all the materials right there so my students can get to them quickly. They will be more active in their learning and using it will give them a sense of independence because the cart/easel will be there for ALL of them to use every day!
