This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are the best! I have taught in my Title I low-income school for over 17 years. This is unusual with today's teachers due to the constant shuffling of educators switching schools. This thought doesn't even cross my mind. I love working with kids who, through no fault of their own, are coming to school unprepared for our chilly winters. The problem is that most of my kiddos' parents do not have the additional funds to support luxuries such as warm clothing and gloves being one of them.

Winter is here, and I want to be able to provide gloves to help the ride to school and recess be a little more comfortable.

I know my students will never ask for anything being too proud to say that their hands are cold. I would love to be able to hand out these gloves and let kids be kids! They love playing in the snow and cold little hands can make this venture not very fun. Thanks for considering donating these gloves to my amazing students! we appreciate your support.
