This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students enter into kindergarten with an enthusiastic attitude of going to school. They enjoy learning and growing. It is such a joy to teach and watch my students as they grow from the beginning of the school year to the end of the school year.

My students enjoy learning.

They need positive and multiple exposures and experiences of learning. I work diligently to provide these opportunities for them.

My school is a Title I School. My students come from the lower socioeconomic area of Atlanta.

My Project

This field trip will enrich our students' learning in life science. They will learn about animals and their similarities and differences. They will also learn the classifications of animals.

Students will research and observe various animals.

Students will perform the following science and engineering practices to help investigate animals. They will obtain, evaluate and communicate information, construct an argument from evidence, and ask questions about crosscutting concepts. Students will observe animals of all species. They will compare animals and discuss their characteristics such as habitat, eating, grooming and more.

This will be an education field trip experience for our students to remember!
