My students enjoy going to the listening center. In the classroom, they need a variety of books with cds, including multicultural titles and titles from Dr. Seuss. We do not have many books with cds. This will be a great start to building our listening library. Listening to books on cds is an opportunity for students to learn enriched vocabulary, descriptive language, and concepts. Books on cds will be used in centers during the guided reading time. Students will participate in different literacy centers during the reading time. I will work with guided reading groups in providing instruction for learning to read. The Scholastic Magazine, Let's Find Out, will be used in the classroom to provide information for students. This will keep them updated on current events. We would like to extend a special thank you for your consideration!
