My Conference Proposal Was Accepted! Please Help Me Attend NAEA
I need help with covering the costs of registration, transportation, and lodging for a professional development trip to the National Art Education Association Conference.
Learning and presenting alongside peers at conferences has directly impacted my students as their teacher becomes nourished, energized, and enriched. Planning and presenting at these conferences not only gives students an authentic audience for their work but requires their teacher to reflect on best practices, teaching techniques, and adaptations for diverse learners.
My art room fosters a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation largely due to implementing ideas sparked through professional development opportunities.
The excellence bar for students is raised higher as the teacher learns to stretch higher professionally.
My Project
The National Art Education Conference is the premier event for art educators from around the country for professional development. Thousands of art professionals gather annually to share best practices, innovations, and inspiration through presentations, keynotes, and workshops. This year my presentation proposal on transdigital art (innovative uses of physical art-making and digital art extensions) has been accepted. I very much want to be able to attend this conference in order to share the amazing things my students are creating with my peers as well as explore a wide range of exciting and inspirational sessions.
My conference presentation will showcase the work of my young artists to a national gathering of art educators.
This event gives my students an authentic audience and helps raise the bar of excellence knowing that other students may someday be learning from their examples.
