My Students

Each child in my classroom loves to learn, but the ways they learn best varies greatly. The methods and environment are forever changing with each class and student. I try to incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and flexible seating options to help each child find success. I try to meet each child’s needs.

My students are also becoming 21st Century Learners and with that comes a whole other set of needs.

I want them to be able to incorporate everything I teach them into becoming life long learners, good citizens, and kind people.

My Project

In my classroom, we always start off building community and relationships. The students need to feel safe, welcomed, loved, and respected before I can expect them to learn and trust.

The rug is the gathering place for building relationships in my classroom.

The students will learn that when we are sitting on the rug, everyone's ideas will be heard and respected. We will have fun, learn a lot, and build a safe culture of respect at the carpet.

The age we will live in pushed technology. Students need to be more than proficient with technology. The headphones will help my students navigate through the technology demands we set for them.
