My Project

I am in my 1st year of being the head coach of our girls basketball team here, where I am an alumni of the school and basketball program. I am looking to inspire students and help kids reach their full potential. We have a great group of girls that are dedicated to the program. New equipment and a positive mindset are crucial for the success of our team and our student-athletes. Our sports program helps our students to become champions on and off the court. The students work very hard during the day to excel in academics so they are able to be a part of this basketball team. Being a part of something like a team, these girls feel they belong! The students can wear the under shirts to practice or games. Some of my student-athletes suffer from being confident and those under shirts will help them cover up when they feel they need to. The coaches boards will help us explain and draw out plays for the girls in crucial moments and when they are necessary. The water bottles will make sure they are all the same, looking like a team, feeling like a team. Some of these girls do not come from well-off families that can provide a reasonable water bottle. We want to make sure we are setting these girls up to be successful, to look like a team, and for us coaches to make sure we are preparing them the best way we can for practice and or a game. We are also in need of a basketball pump, we have been sharing one pump between 5 athletic girls team. We also need a storage cage to lock for our basketballs we do have.
