Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My water polo and swimming student-athletes are active and eager to learn how to live more healthy lifestyles. Many come from broken homes where much of the information about how to live a healthy lifestyle is not translated to them.
I want to create an opportunity where they can learn more about what it means to live a healthy lifestyle and give them skills (with the help of technology) to then be able to teach others the importance of living a healthy lifestyle and pass on the good habits!
My Project
Team morale is a very important factor to our group achieving success. When our student-athletes feel good, they will play with confidence and pride that we all hope they will play with.
These canopies will provide a brand new source of pride for each member of our water polo team.
They will be an essential part of building confidence through the fact that we will be able to display our "brand" and be proud to represent the school colors and mascot that we do.
Water Polo and Swimming are played in times where temperatures outside can soar over 100 degrees - having these canopies will provide shelter from the sun's rays, but also provide a gathering place for all teammates to bond and grow together as a group!
