My Students

My students from Ohio are some of the most motivated and passionate students you'll find! Surrounded by cornfields on every side, our school's band program has never let its size be its defining factor. Each and every day, they come to class with the goal of improving upon what they did the day before.

My students have big hearts, and even bigger goals.

For many of them, band offers an outlet not just for creativity, but for achievement. The sense of accomplishment my students feel after performing a piece of music they never thought they could perform is what they strive for every time they step on the stage.

They constantly remind me how incredibly blessed I am to be their band director, and how incredibly blessed they are to have so much determination. They're an inspiration to their peers, and to students of small rural schools everywhere!

My Project

Mutes are used by brass instruments to give their instruments a different sound. Composers will often call for several different types of mutes to give their music a completely different mood! Currently, our brass mutes are in a state of major disrepair - we don't have many to begin with, and what we do have is not useable.

By donating to our project, you will help improve the quality of our mutes, our music and our student's education!

My goal has always been to give the students in this small, rural community the same opportunities as students in larger, more suburban areas. With your donation to this project, we can make that goal a reality!
