My Students

I am teaching in a brand new Intensive Learning Support class for 5 to 8-year-old students. My students have a variety of disabilities but they are all full of enthusiasm and excitement for learning! Many of them come from economically disadvantaged homes. In our school, parents value a good education for their child.

Curious, enthusiastic, and creative; my students are eager to immerse themselves in any kind of challenge.

Every day they come to school ready and eager to learn. They learn best through exploration and hands-on activities.

My Project

My students love music and singing. Music is the one activity that calms all of my students. They enjoy any song that has a definite peppy beat. This Rhythm Kit will allow each student to have a rhythm instrument to use while singing. This kit will also allow us to work on identifying and using patterns in math.

Music in my classroom is a calming force.

My students often have a difficult time with self-regulation. When we introduce music, they are instantly connected to the current activity. This project will help my students to create their own music and will help them to calm themselves.
