This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Music and Math are truly connected. We have learned individual rhythms and have had fun using rhythm cards. Imagine how excited the children will be when we use wiki sticks to mold our notation patterns onto a placemat! My students will love creating and matching musical math patterns. Then we will create class patterns using the pool noodles. I plan to have my students to connect them together to make a four bar creation.

My students work really hard to count and clap the patterns I place on the board or show them on cards. Imagine the success rate when they create the pattern themselves!
