My students need music stands! With the growing popularity of the band program, we are running out of quality music stands for students to use.

My Students

Our band program is full of energetic and enthusiastic musicians. The kids that are a part of the program become life long patrons of the arts. Although the program is small and still in its growing period, we have big hopes and dreams. While our numbers continue to grow, so does our drive to better ourselves.

As a band program, the students aim to be a huge part of their community and perform at many outside events.

We would take this opportunity to better our program and increase our equipment so that we can continue to share our love of music with the people around us.

My Project

Currently we have about fifteen quality music stands for forty kids to share. This leaves us with some students having to share three to a stand. Seeing music becomes a problem; as does sitting with good posture. Many instruments are designed to be played with one person on a stand. Our high school students are playing music that is multiple pages and do not have the room on their stands to share.

New music stands will decrease the amount of attention and effort it takes to play with a broken stand and allow students the opportunity to focus on playing music.
