My Students
I am the music teacher at a high-need, urban school in northern New Jersey. Every day, I interact with talented students who have a passion for music. Our students and the music department have benefited from interested people (like you, I hope) who wanted to make a difference in my students' lives.
Over the past 10 years, since I was hired, I have seen our music program become more diverse and interesting for our students!
Despite the fact that we have limited funding for our programs, we have learned how to make do with what we have and teach our students at a high level. I know our success is in part due to our enthusiasm for music making; however, I also know that it is also due to the fact that my students have a fun and enriching program where they feel free to make music.
My Project
Over the 10-plus years, I have been teaching at our school, our band has become a highly requested resource in our community. Our high-quality performances are a source of pride to us and our city. Since we are increasingly asked to perform off-campus, my students need music stands that will travel with us to events. A folding, wire music stand is the perfect choice for our travel needs. These stands are fully collapsible, height adjustable, and extremely durable. Special retainers keep our sheet music right where we want it.

For our students, performing both on and off-campus allows them to showcase their talents in a wide variety of locales. This enhances their self-esteem and school pride in tremendous ways! I have seen many of my students outlook on school, learning and life impacted positively by being in our band program and the ability to acquire basic materials for them to use only continues to enhance student achievement in our band.
