My Project
My students are about to start learning to play soprano recorders in music class. To be independent musicians, they need to learn to read music notes from the music staff.
I want to make it fun and hands-on!
These individual whiteboards that have the music staff lines printed on one side will let each student draw the music notes and learn their letter names. We already have different colored whiteboard markers, which will add to the fun. The best part for me, as their teacher, is being able to assess every student's progress easily and quickly, not wasting valuable class time. When the students are more confident in reading the music notes, they will be more confident in learning songs to play on their recorders!
