My Project

I am so grateful for DonorsChoose this will be our third project. I am a new teacher as of August and appreciate any and all help. If there is a teacher more needing of materials feel free to skip us. We are completly overwhelmed by the generousity of the program. Our school does not offer music as a special. This is not going to stop our class. I teach a class of 90% of non-verbal children with autism. Our children love music. We incorporate music into every aspect of the school day.

Music is believed to help with the recognition of speech and assist in the development of language.

We will use these instruments to do a small group lesson every Thursday during our specials time. I envision the children sitting on the floor in a circle and being able to make music independently while exploring the instruments but with practice collectively making beautiful music as a class.
