My Students

The young musicians in my classroom are creative, unique and extremely talented! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Their open-mindedness and eagerness to learn are truly my inspiration!

These young learners are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have the opportunity to shape young, creative minds into the artists of tomorrow!

My Project

Creativity and play is at the forefront of an ideal music classroom. My goal this year is to maximize their creative potential by exploring the world of music through a diverse realm of instruments; specifically, Ukuleles and Boomwhackers! During a transitional period this year, I am seeking the community's help to amplify our ability to reach each and every young musician in our school. The Ukuleles and Boomwhackers will play many roles in the program for the students.

The use of diverse and exploratory instruments such as Ukuleles and Boomwhackers will develop critical thinking skills as well as unleash their creativity during Personalized Learning sessions.

Students will be fully engaged as they explore sounds, timbres, harmonies and rhythms never experienced before. This will enhance my students' learning environment not only in the classroom but on the concert stage as well.
