Help me give my students some basic music production technology, including a Roland Digital Piano, a Roland Sustain pedal, and a Novation Launchpad to play samples, in order to aid our Marching Band, Concerts Bands, and Jazz Bands.
My students are some of the hardest working kids I've ever seen. They come into the classroom everyday with a zeal and fervor to make the best music they can with what they have. I whole-heartedly believe in the ability of my students to produce the most beautiful music anyone has ever heard, and they deliver.
Our school has a diverse population and our students mostly come from backgrounds of the lowest socio-economic classes, and our situation dictates an extra need for help.
Despite the fact that many of our kids encounter hardships on a daily basis, they come in eager to work hard and learn all they can about music and performance. My students take everything they learn from our band and apply it to their future success in life.
Help us by offering our students an opportunity to make music digitally through the addition of some basic music production technology products, including a digital piano, a sustain pedal for the piano, and a sample playing device. The access to this technology is especially useful in preparing our students to make music in the 21st century, and to help bring our program in general into the modern era of music production. These pieces of technology can definitely help us to create more of a modern landscape in music, as is demanded by modern music notation and scoring for today's ensembles. Our students will have a direct use of this equipment on a daily basis.
