Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

This project will give my students an opportunity to experience a musical journey that most of them have never experienced. Our school will have its first concert band with a new band director. Most of my students are interested in music literature and playing on a college level so as a teacher it is important to expose them to different styles of music. This experience is to drive a new love, curiosity, and passion for wind and percussion playing. We need music stands, a drum set, and a lamp. These young musicians are excited about what we are doing here at KTUP.
