Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach ESL, Coverages for classes and SETSS to Pre-Kindergartners-4th graders in a Title I school located in the South Bronx. Our school is dedicated to helping children become future leaders both in and outside their communities. Students that I work with enjoy coming to school every day and they are most of the time never absent. Even though learning can sometimes be a challenge for my students, they never give up and are excited to try new things.
This year I am working with students ELLs, as well as special education students and general education students.
They are very sweet, and you can see that they are eager to learn.
My Project
My students love music. They will benefit and learn better when they hear it consistently. They love to dance as well as listen and read stories. Hearing music and books through music devices will be extremely enjoyable and meaningful to each of them.
My students need as many visuals and audio learning tools to help the reach their full potential.
With these new Bluetooth speakers and comfy chairs my students will be able listen to music and stories that can help them regain an interest in learning and help them improve in class. I'm afraid without new an exciting learning tools in the class, they might give up on their learning.
