Music for Movement!

My students need Sony - 540W Mini Hi-Fi Shelf sound system so they will be able to exercise and actively participate in physical education with music to motivate them!

My Students

Have you ever tried exercising or participating in a fitness class without music? It can get rather boring quickly and isn't very motivating!

My students are in grades 6-8 in a public school in Pennsylvania.

We are in a blue collar town where a fair number of students are on free and reduced lunch. The students love to be active and most students participate in extracurricular athletics or dance.

My Project

I am requesting this Sony radio system because it is compatible with an Ipod so we will be able to listen to music during Physical Education classes and extracurricular activities. This will also be helpful during school assemblies when we have larger crowds since it is 540 Watts!

This project is very important because something as simple as music gives students the motivation to exercise and participate, which in turn will create students who learn to be active and healthy.

The obesity rate has dropped slightly in our city and this will help us to have a larger impact and get more students active!
