This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Music has the power to engage, inspire, and connect students in ways that traditional instruction sometimes cannot. As a paraprofessional, I work with students who benefit from hands-on, creative learning experiences. I am requesting an Alesis Melody 61 MK4 Keyboard Bundle, which includes a keyboard, stand, bench, and accessories that will allow students to explore music in a meaningful and accessible way.

This keyboard will provide opportunities for students to learn basic piano skills, experiment with rhythm and melody, and collaborate with their peers.

Because the keyboard is large enough for multiple students to gather around, it will encourage teamwork, social interaction, and shared learning experiences.

Many of our students respond positively to music-based activities that support focus, emotional expression, communication, and confidence. Having access to a dedicated keyboard station will create an inviting space where students can develop new skills while expressing their creativity.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
