This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting these musical instruments to help support my tk-3rd grade students learn rhythm, tempo and dynamics. We have been sharing a handful of instruments, but many students are left sitting on the sidelines waiting their turn to play.

Music is a personal expression of emotion and skill.

Since my students are learning to play rhythms, the triangles, tambourines and egg shakers would help them practice these concepts. The djembes and the hand drums would help develop their hand-eye coordination, well.

The purchase of these instruments would make my music classes more fulfilling, inspiring and educational. Since my students range in age from 4-9 years old, a positive first musical experience is crucial in developing their passion for music! Thank you for support the arts, especially music!
