My Students
As a Pre-K - 8 school, our students range from 4-15 years old. 44% of the school is minority students, with over 90% of the school on free or reduced lunch
My students are creative and thoughtful, they love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box.
However, our school is in a very low socio-economic city in Southeastern Massachusetts. Getting our students to work with new or current technology is one of our biggest challenges.
My Project
Using color printers is not something our students have experience with due to the very low socio-economic home life. Most of our students do not have access to a printer at home and our school does not have a color printer. Students will use these color printers to print projects, digital art work, or digital music manuscripts.
These printers will help our students to learn how to format color printouts for multiple types of projects as well as their end of year portfolios.
Having these printers in the Music and Art rooms will allow all the students in the school access to them.
