My Project

It is pivotal for students to feel empowered, supported, and comfortable in the learning environment. The items selected for this project will enhance students’ creative expression and exploration, sensory engagement, literacy connection, and collaboration. The young artists will have the opportunity to use various resources wherever they may feel the most comfortable to learn and express themselves. Also, a lightbox will offer students the freedom to draw art that interests them as well as refine their work.

From books to explore artists in the periods in which they lived and worked to sensory aids, this project will provide students with materials to both build knowledge and support their emotional needs.

“How-to-draw” books and volumes featuring a myriad of multicultural artists will provide significant resources and cultural connections to the learners. Additionally, the accessibility of sensory aids will help students focus, ease their anxiety, and continue to foster a safe learning environment.
