Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are an amazing group of second and third graders who attend a Title I school in Los Angeles, California. They are eager and excited to learn and they work hard every day to do just that. Eighty-four percent of the students qualify for free school lunch. Most come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. Some are English language learners and a few have special needs.

My Project

Students need hands-on, fun, interactive ways to master their multiplication facts. What better way to learn than through games!

Students enjoy learning when learning is fun!

Multiplication games are sure to become a class favorite as they learn their multiplication facts. An added benefit is the social-emotional skills gained through peer interactions as students navigate taking turns, following directions, problem-solving, and balancing winning and losing. Multiplication games will engage students and make learning multiplication facts a little less overwhelming.

I also requested three workbooks with reproducible pages so the students can show what they have mastered.
