Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have a wonderfully energetic group of second graders. My students love to explore and learn. They are bright young learners with big hearts. My students come into my classroom every morning with bright smiles, excited to learn. They are the greatest group of kids, and I am so blessed to be their teacher.
We need some help!
Our school is in a low-income area and more than a third of my students receive free or reduced-price lunch. In addition, many students in our school speak English as a second language. We have a lot of needs as a school and as a classroom.
My Project
I want to start off next year on the right foot! I usually teach second grade but I will be looping to third grade with my students so I do not have to say goodbye just yet! Due to the circumstances, everyone is going to be a bit nervous going into a new school year after being out for so long.
I want to give my students fun and engaging new math games to get them excited to be back at school and start learning!
Since I am looping with my class, I need to upgrade the curriculum and games in my classroom. I am asking for games to help with multiplication, division, and fractions. My students learn a lot more when they have hands-on materials and games to further their learning. With all these new supplies, we'll be able to start the year off right!
