My students need 36 white boards and accessories so that everyone in my class can respond to the same question at the same time, while I monitor their learning.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Were you a student who felt like they were never called upon during class? It is a sad reality that many students feel left out during class. However, it is important for all students to be able to express their answers.
My students attend a school that has been deemed academically unacceptable for over five years.
Many of them work long hours after school, and are afraid they will never be able to afford college, even if they are accepted to college. They work hard, and they care about their grades, but many of them are starting out the school year already behind.
My Project
I am requesting dry erase boards, dry erase markers, and dry erase erasers for every student in my class. These materials will allow me to have all of my students respond to all of my questions at the same time instead of only having one student answer at a time.
With your help, my students will be able to be actively engaged in every lesson.
Every one of my students will be able to respond to questions. I will be able to measure whether or not my students have mastered the material, because I will be able to monitor all of their progress throughout the class period. Not only will I be able to better monitor my students, but they will also be gaining confidence in the material. It is important that I have 100% participation during my class.
