Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our classroom library is a constantly growing and changing part of student learning. Students engage with a wide variety of texts on a daily basis, and I want all students to both see themselves and build empathy for others through the texts they have available.

By adding more rich nonfiction and literature highlighting people of color, we can help students find more text connections and a broader world view.

I am excited to help out students find new books that help them see that we all have a valuable place in this global community.
