My Project

I am a speech therapist at a Title I school in an urban area. I work with a variety of children who have communication disorders. I implement literacy into my speech therapy sessions, and it is extremely beneficial to utilize books in conjunction with visual aids and manipulatives.

Help me provide my students with meaningful multicultural literacy experiences and visual manipulatives to promote their story comprehension and story retelling abilities.

These materials allow me to target my students IEP goals that are related to book readings, while learning about and exploring a variety of cultures.
