Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are amazing individuals. As a special educator, I see the students come in at various levels and have to work extra hard to keep up with our fast-paced curriculum. They have learned that hard work really pays off. Students love working together to complete projects and play games together. My passion for helping students drives me to be the best educator I can be. We spend time every morning creating a positive culture for our classroom to encourage a community environment.

My Project

My students come from countries all over their world. To share their beauty we would like to fill our school walls with pictures of their beautiful families. Our students need to see themselves and their cultures represented every day. We will need two digital cameras, memory cards, and printer paper to print their photos. Students will check out the camera to take pictures of their families on outings, at dinner, during holidays, and doing regular day to day activities. The goals are for students to see the differences as well as the similarities of all of the beautiful people around the world.
