My Students

This is the first year that students in 5th, 6th, and 7th grade will be able to experience band and choir at my school. I am excited to offer this opportunity to them, and I know that they will rise to the challenge of learning how to sing and play instruments together. Students at my school also have the opportunity to learn the ukulele and recorder in their general music classes.

It is important to me that my students have positive experiences in music class.

My Project

These music stands will be used in a variety of ways. They will be used with the 3rd and 4th grade students when they learn how to play the recorder, they will be used with 5th and 6th grade students when they learn how to play the ukulele, and they will be used with the 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students in band and choir.

These music stands will impact the musical experiences of many students at my school.

Having music stands at school will mean that the band students do not need to bring their own folding stand to and from school every day. When students learn recorder and ukulele, they will be able to use the music stands instead of their desks to hold their sheet music.
