I currently work at a school for children with disabilities. Most of these children are diagnosed with autism or a related disorder. These children are faced with challenges every day of their lives and our school is trying to make a more safe and relaxing environment for them. We focus on coping skills to help encourage the learning process of the child. We find that these items distract the mind enough to help promote their learning. Environment is key with these children and learning their needs with their wants is always a struggle.
My students have difficulty learning the average way. They need activities to help strengthen their mind and body. Requested resources include a Hands-On Graphing Tray, a Literature-Based Sorting Center, Write & Wie Alphabet Practice Cards, Alphabet Learning Locks, Touch & Read CVC Words Match, and a Scoop-A-Bug Sorting Kit.
These learning kits will help strengthen their hand muscles and help them learn at the same time.
They need strong hand muscles to help them write. These activities include sorting, counting, letter recognition, and much more. Preschool and kindergarten is the start of all learning. Children need to use various tools to aid their learning and understanding of their set curriculum. These activities will do just that! They will be having so much fun making words and counting manipulatives that they won’t even realize they are learning.
