My Students

My students are made up of the sweetest four and five year olds that you would ever want to meet. They are little sponges wanting to absorb every ounce of learning that they can each day.

My students come from low income families and many of them treat school as their second home.

My students love learning and playing each day while furthering their oral language skills, social skills and cognitive abilities.

My Project

These materials will be used to enhance our classroom centers. With new additions to our learning centers, my students will continue to grow in their oral language skills. Through play, my students learn to cooperate with their peers while practicing basic math and literacy skills.

Many of my students have very limited play experiences in their homes and most of their opportunities to talk with peers/adults take place in the classroom.

My students will engage in new play/learning activities and then write about their experiences they have both in and outside of our classroom environment. I look forward to helping my students grow and make connections to the world around them.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
