My Project

My students are unique individuals who have an incredible willingness to learn. They are extremely energetic and creative. They bring positivity to our school and put a smile on the face of those that they meet.

My students are also very resilient, and many have had to overcome a variety of personal hardships in their lives.

Despite these difficulties, it has not impacted their work ethic or their willingness to learn. Each day, they walk into class and work to the best of their abilities.

Reading can be overwhelming for some students and creating a safe space will hopefully allow them to focus on literacy. This area will also help reduce their anxiety, while expanding their vocabulary and reading comprehension skills. It is my hope that this area made of a rug, saucer chairs throw pillows will create an environment that maximizes their overall learning.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
