My Students

I teach in a diverse and urban school in San Francisco. I have a master's degree in Library and Information Science. I am dedicated and passionate about what I do. I could not imagine doing anything else. As a Resource Specialist, I implement interventions, which help bolster students learning on a daily basis.

I am always looking to expand my knowledge of research-based interventions, and I am eager to do that this Summer.

I like to spend my summer improving my teaching methods and bringing these new skills back to the classroom the following year. Now, more than ever, I see a great need for students to receive explicit small group math and reading interventions. Help Ms. Wallace provide the latest research-based interventions to her students by attending a series of Summer professional development courses.

My Project

This Summer, I will attend three online professional development courses: literacy continuum, guided reading, and math instruction through Heinemann. I cannot wait to bring these new methods into the classroom!

These courses enable me to bring the latest interventions into the resource room for the students that require the latest research-based interventions!

I teach 18-25 special education students that need small group instruction. These professional development series will enable me to grow as a professional. I will also allow me to bring the latest techniques and methods to the students I serve.
