My Students

This year, I will be welcoming 20 new second graders into my classroom. My goal as a classroom teacher is to provide every child with an opportunity to be the best they can be. In the classroom, this may look different since not all students learn in the same way. I strive to figure out what works best for each individual student. This project will help me support my hands-on learners with math and reading manipulatives. Manipulatives help students physically see and feel learning materials and, to young children, this is an essential part of being successful.

My Project

I have chosen resources that will help me model and teach for every student in the classroom. In the primary grades it is easier for teachers to teach in a small group setting. The paper magnetic lined paper will allow me to model for students how to write letters, personal narrative, and informative pieces. I am able to teach effective if I am able to provide students with adequate examples that are right in front of them which is why small group teaching is used around the world. I am going to be able to use the small magnetic white board to do so! Currently I am limited and often use the table to write things down. Now, I will be able to display anything that I need to in order to make students successful!
