My Project

I'm a US History, IB Psychology, Student Government Advisor, and the Girls' Basketball Head Coach for a high school in Fort Lauderdale, FL. I teach at an underfunded Title I high school in South Florida. I am requesting TPT resources for our academic classes and a sense of comfort and pride by providing basic hygiene needs such as deodorant, toothpaste, and wipes. A little about my classroom and students: my classroom is a safe space for all who enter. I support any student who comes to me for help, whether a listening ear, a kind word of advice, mentoring, guidance, or supplies. My students come from low-income to well below the poverty line income status. These are beautiful students who try to take care of themselves and their families. Many are absent because they have to stay home with younger siblings. A large number of my student population are also new immigrants who are transient, or unhoused, non-English speakers, or from families who are just down on their luck. I want to provide supplies to all who are in need, so no child will feel uncomfortable coming to school.
