Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have a number of Spanish-speaking students in my first grade class that are learning how to read in both Spanish and English. I desperately need more chldrens' books in Spanish for my students! My families and I understand the value and importance of knowing how to read and write in Spanish. My students need and would love to have more books to read in Spanish, independently and/or with a partner, and also with their families! It is important that my Spanish-speaking students have books in Spanish in their reading boxes (next to their English ones)!
