My Students

My amazing class consists of preschool students with Autism between the ages of 3 and 5. I also have 2 typically developing peers that help socialize the classroom and model appropriate behavior for the other students.

While they may have a disability, they do not let that prevent them from obtaining their goals.

My students are fun loving preschool children who need a little extra support in order to be successful. In my classroom, we see all abilities not disabilities.

My Project

Early intervention services are essential in creating long term success among students with disabilities. We explicitly teach coping techniques and ways in which students can calm down when faced with uncomfortable situations. This bubble wall will help students calm down in order to return back to their daily routines.

It is important to teach our students how to effectively cope with life's challenges so that they can be successful into adulthood.
