My Students

I work with some wonderful middle school students who have some social and emotional challenges. Although they have these challenges, my students are really cool! This is one of the smartest and sweetest group of children that I have had the pleasure to assist.

I not only teach these students, I have also learned so much from them.

Many of them face many challenges inside and outside of school, but they all continue to persevere and make the best of each situation.

My Project

The materials requested for my project have multiple uses. The pencils are needed because my cool kiddos seem to lose their pencils often. I am requesting these to ensure that we have plenty of pencils to go around if and when they are needed. am requesting glue sticks for the days we do art projects and assignments. The glue sticks we began the year with have been used to their entirety.

When our kiddos have great days, they earn some awesome snacks.

These snacks will be used as incentive. I have learned that kids work harder to have a good day when the incentive gift is something that they really enjoy. Some of our cool kiddos have health conditions that require them to eat specific things.

The water bottles requested are for our cool kiddos to decrease the possible spread of COVID. At the beginning of the school year, our kids were given water bottles, but many of them were misplaced and lost. Those kids that have lost their water bottles need new ones so that they can stay hydrated throughout the school day.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
