My Project

Do you believe in getting kids access to STEM activities? Today, too many of our young children are spending too much time being put in front of technology for the wrong reasons instead of going outside or playing with things that can inspire creativity. I see it every day as a teacher in how kids interact with adults and their peers as well as their attention span. I want to get hands on creative things in the hands of kids as much as I can to combat that. I believe it starts at a very young age.

I am an 8 year Kindergarten teacher working my first year in a new district.

The district I work in is very underprivileged. They do not have these types of activities at home and the district does not have a budget that allows for this. I accumulated a lot of STEM activities in my previous district but had to leave them behind and therefore I have to rebuild. These types of activities that I am trying to get funding for will create more engagement, creativity, problem solving skills, and practice working with their peers on those very important social emotional skills. These activities will create a lot of excitement that our youngest learners need to have on a daily level so that they develop a love for coming to school and learning. I also have included a few hands on educational practice items for math and pre-reading skills.

My kids and I would be so grateful for any donations that can be made.
