This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Diversity: it's what makes my classroom and students great! Each and every one of my students bring something to the classroom that I cannot. My classroom is a mosaic of individuals who all share the same goal: to evaluate world history and apply that knowledge to our everyday lives.

We build together, learn together, and grow together.

Each day my students bring their various ideas, cultures, and backgrounds to our history lessons! Their perspectives allow me to learn alongside them!

My Project

Finding an interactive textbook that students find appealing and thought-provoking is a difficult task. It is even harder to find a book with the aforementioned characteristics that also align with state standards. However, I have found a book that is all of those things, and more!

In Everything You Need to Ace World History in One Big Fat Notebook students are able to interact with texts, maps, visuals, and timelines!

This colorful book assists those students who struggle with reading, as well as assess their progression at the end of each chapter.

These 27 books will provide a class set for my students to utilize during class time. Please, help me provide this valuable resource to my students and for future students in years to come!
