My Project

I have purchased a raised garden bed for my students. Now with spring approaching it is time to get our planter box ready to observe nature at work and be active participants to make our world more beautiful and learn homesteading skills that carry on throughout their life. This project is a hands-on learning experience that can carry on for several months. My hope is that students are encouraged to garden themselves.

My goals are to instill in my students the joy of observing and creating nature, to promote curiosity, and feeling empowered in being part of protecting our environment.

Many of my students enjoy outdoor learning. This does not just include gardening but being present outside while learning. They have shown such curiosity about how our environment works and impacts us. Our worm habitat. in the classroom has sparked more of the questions and desires to learn more. Implementing this aspect of nature impacted a positive relationship amongst my students. showing each other love and respect.
