Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
In our preschool, we are a multiply-abled room! Some of us are learning basic prerequisite skills such as pointing, waiting, and appropriate communication! While others are learning to string 2-3 word sentences together, count, and play! In this room, we are all capable of anything, but we need the right tools to help us unlock some of our hidden talents! We are the first stop on the road of an exciting adventure where the basic foundation of a love for learning begins!
My Project
My classroom is multiply-abled! We learn best when when receiving different forms of sensory input. Some of the sensory items in this project will give us the tools to achieve a higher level of understanding in making connections to real life. Our library needs a boost, and your contribution toward the story book set will enable our room to create thematic units which connect to our students on their individual levels. Helping us to bring their favorite stories to life. By creating thematic units which bring stories to life, our students will be able to make real-life connections to real and make believe. Through these connections, they will be able to develop not only reading comprehension skills but also social-emotional and pretend play skills!
