My Students

This is the second year that my school has offered a Young Fives Kindergarten program. This program gives children the gift of time, where they learn early kindergarten material in a developmentally appropriate way. After completing the program, students transition into kindergarten the following year.

My students are eager and enthusiastic learners.

They love to learn and are just beginning to read! It is a very exciting time in our classroom! Like any typical 5 year old, they are constantly on the move!

My Project

If this project is funded, my entire class will have access to a stool that allows them to freely move (wobble) while sitting at their desks. Several of the immediate benefits of using these stools would be increased concentration, motivation, engagement and creating a better oxygen flow to the brain.

Do you sit on a computer chair, recliner, cushioned seat or some other type of seat that allows you swivel or find the just right position for your unique body? I created this project to give my students the chance to sit in a seat that is just right for their little bodies as they transition into the school setting and eventually kindergarten.
