My Students

I am a first-year sixth-grade teacher and I am so excited to get to know my students better. I will be teaching at a Title One school and I have had the opportunity to meet some of my amazing future students already. I know that many of them love to read, and I hope to instill that love in all of the other students as well.

My students have many different personalities but many of them love sports and dance.

My Project

For this project, I tried to choose books I thought would interest some of my already very experienced readers. While keeping them in mind I also tried to find books that may also be interesting to students who aren't as interested in reading right now. I know that in many cases it can only take one book to really catch the attention of a student and make them want to read. I also chose a few books that I remember reading at this age. I also chose a few books that are relative to our social studies curriculum to get students more interested in history.
