This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Classroom organization is a huge aspect of a successful kindergarten classroom. Being in a low income school district, it can be difficult to obtain the materials needed for students to be successful. Organization allows students to keep a clear and open mind for their learning while having access to their daily materials like the chair pockets. Chair pockets have been a staple in my classroom for many years. Over the years, my chair pockets have fallen apart so I am asking for a new set. Students will use this daily to keep their books, whiteboards, and folders.

For students, well-managed classrooms can lead to fewer behavioral problems, stronger engagement and better academic performance.

Chair pockets will guide my students along with new crayon caddies. I'm currently using buckets but I would love to teach my students color coding and being responsible for the cleanliness of their crayons. We talk a lot of taking pride in our materials and that is what those two cart items will help me with.
