Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The classroom decorations, furniture and supplies will help create a more inviting learning environment for the students.The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. The bean bags will be used in my reading center creating a comfy space and encouraging them to read.

The rugs will help with circle time and provide enough space for the class to sit together in that community setting exploring and learning.

Circle time is very important and allows children to cooperate on equal terms, creating an environment of trust and camaraderie. Circle time promotes many key areas of development for children including social emotional, physical, cognitive and language development.
