This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My reading class is exclusively students below grade level, many far below, in reading and writing. My kids are sweet and kind but are often intimidated and embarrassed of their skills when grouped with their peers. They love coming to my reading class because they don’t have to feel that embarrassment. They love to tell stories and are some of the funniest and most creative stories that I hear.

These notebooks will build their writing and composition skills buy allowing them to build their foundational skills and grow their confidence to tell the stories they love.
