My students need a rug for our calendar area! We need to be able to have a specific space to sit during our many visits to the calendar area throughout the day!

My Students

Help make our calendar area cozy! We visit our calendar area many times throughout the day and the boys and girls just sit in random places and don't have a specific spot. We need a classroom rug to have a defined location that is cozy on our bottoms.

I teach in a rural elementary school.

Students enter my classroom eager to learn! I work hard to make it an environment that is loving and sets the tone for their school career! The boys and girls come to me with a wide range of knowledge. Some students are reading while others do not even know how to write their name and have no educational background.

My Project

A classroom rug would really brighten up our classroom! It would give us a defined location to sit and provide the boys and girls with a little comfort during our many visits to this area throughout the day. We meet in that location for our morning meeting, reading, calendar, teacher read aloud time, and even math. I always call it our rug area even though we don't have one and the boys and girls would be thrilled to actually have one! This rug would not only provide comfort, but could also be utilized as a learning game with the letters on it. I would incorporate this into a literacy game during our center time. What great learning opportunities we could have on this classroom rug!

The rug would not only brighten up our classroom, but also provide a comfy spot for my boys and girls to focus on learning! I would be grateful to have a defined location for students to sit, so that I am not constantly reminding them to scoot closer to me. We would all be sitting in a specific, defined area together!
